Microsoft scrapped HoloLens three plans, according to written report

Insider sources claim doubtfulness about the future of HoloLens and divisions among the squad have created numerous issues

Despite success with the HoloLens, Microsoft may not plan to exercise a HoloLens 3.

According to a Business Insider written report (via Windows Central), Microsoft scrapped plans for the HoloLens three and has left the HoloLens team in a state of perpetual confusion. Further, the team's uncertain nearly the project's time to come and existing long-term plans. Because of this, the HoloLens squad has seen several members exit Microsoft to pursue augmented reality (AR) projects at rival companies, like Meta (Facebook). Problems also stalk from divisions inside the HoloLens squad itself. Some members desire to focus on hardware, particularly with the company's Integrated Visual Augmentation Organization (IVAS) contract with the U.South. Regular army.
